Preparing for Your Session
Before we begin, we’ll take a few minutes to talk. We’ll go over what’s been coming up for you and what you’d like support with. Together, we’ll set a simple intention for your session.
Then you’ll lie down on the table, fully clothed.
I’ll make sure you’re comfortable, adjusting pillows, adding a blanket if needed, whatever helps you relax. Your comfort really matters to me.
Wear whatever feels good on your body. Most people choose loose, comfy clothes like leggings, joggers, or a t-shirt. The goal is for you to feel relaxed and unrestricted so you can fully settle into the experience.
There’s nothing you need to “do.” Just show up.
During Your Session
Once we begin, I encourage you to simply relax and stay quiet so your body and nervous system can fully receive. Think of it as giving yourself permission to unplug for a little while.
That said , if you’re uncomfortable at any time, tell me.
Too cold? Too warm? Need to shift? Let me know.
You may feel my hands resting gently on or slightly above your body. Sometimes you’ll feel warmth or subtle sensations. Other times you may not feel much at all, and that’s completely normal. Reiki is still flowing.
If something doesn’t feel right, you always have a voice in the session. This is your time, and communication helps you get the most out of it.
There’s no pressure to have a certain experience. Every session is different, and your body will take exactly what it needs.

After Your Session
When we’re finished, I won’t rush you up.
I’ll give you a few quiet minutes to slowly come back into the room. Some people feel deeply relaxed. Some feel lighter. Some feel emotional. Some just feel calm. There’s no “right” way to feel.
We’ll take a few minutes to talk about anything you noticed and I’ll share what came up for me during the session, if you’d like to hear it.
After Reiki, it’s normal to feel:
• deeply relaxed
• extra thirsty
• emotional or reflective
• energized
• or ready for the best sleep of your life
Your body may continue processing for a day or two. That’s normal. Drink water. Rest if you need to. Be gentle with yourself.
If anything feels unfamiliar or you have questions afterward, reach out. You’re not on your own once you leave.
Healing doesn’t stop when you walk out the door; sometimes that’s when it really begins.
